Running cost calculator

Every unit runs around the clock, so small differences in daily energy use add up. Enter the rated energy use and your electricity tariff to see the monthly and yearly cost — and the difference between two models.

kWh / 24 h

From the energy label or spec sheet.

kWh / 24 h
₹ / kWh

Effective rate from your bill. The default is an example, not your state's tariff.

Model A per month
₹958
Model A per year
₹11,491

Rated figures are measured at a fixed test temperature. In a 40 °C+ kitchen or a sunny shop front, expect real use to be higher.

How this is calculated

  1. Monthly cost = energy use (kWh per 24 h) × 30.4 days × tariff (₹ per kWh).
  2. Use the rated figure from the energy label or spec sheet, and note the ambient temperature it was measured at — at 43 °C real use is higher than a 25 °C or 32 °C test figure.
  3. Commercial tariffs vary by state, slab and time of day; use the effective rate from your bill (total energy charges ÷ units).
