Reach-in Refrigerator in Vellore
Upright stainless cabinets in one-, two- and three-section builds, with full or half doors. Refrigerator, freezer, dual-temperature and convertible versions share the same body, so a kitchen can standardise on one footprint and one set of spares. In Vellore, April afternoons average 37.7 °C and humidity averages 68% across the year — here is what that means when you choose and run one.
Checklist for a reach-in in Vellore
- Ask for a rated ambient of 43 °C. Vellore sees roughly 125 days a year above 35 °C, and a reach-in inside a kitchen or shop runs hotter still.
- Prefer fan-forced (ventilated) cooling: it recovers temperature faster after the door is opened, which matters most during March to June service.
- Leave the clearance the maker specifies above and behind the cabinet; reach-ins usually exhaust heat upward and need space to breathe.
- Clean the condenser coil at least monthly; it is the single biggest factor in keeping a unit efficient through summer.
- Give the unit its own earthed socket and ask about its operating voltage range; summer evening voltage dips are hard on compressors.
