What Imphal's climate means for your refrigeration
- Summers are mild — the hottest month averages 29.6 °C — so equipment rarely fights extreme heat. Size for your busiest season and the warmest corner of the room rather than the outdoor temperature.
- Average humidity is 77% across the year, peaking near 86% in July. Expect condensation on glass doors and cabinet edges; heated or double-glazed glass and a well-drained defrost system matter here.
- Humid air is also hard on condenser coils and steel. Keep coils clean, check door gaskets often and choose stainless steel interiors that resist corrosion.
- Winter nights drop to around 7.5 °C. Units standing in unheated stores or verandas can behave differently in cold weather — check that the controller and compressor are suited to low ambient conditions if equipment sits outside a heated space.
