A spec sheet is where the real comparison between models happens. A useful one gives external dimensions and weight, net and gross capacity, temperature range, ambient or climate rating, electrical supply and power draw, refrigerant type, defrost type, number of shelves or pans, door type, materials and any certifications. Some add drawings showing clearances and connection points.
Read a spec sheet with your site in mind. Check whether the dimensions fit through your doors and lift, whether the ambient rating covers your hottest kitchen or shop, whether the plug and load suit your wiring, and whether capacity is stated as net or gross. When two quotes look similar, the differences usually appear in these details. If a figure is missing or vague, ask the supplier to confirm it in writing.
A purchase manager in a hotel group in Bengaluru comparing reach-ins for a new property would line up spec sheets side by side, checking ambient rating, energy use, GN compatibility and footprint before considering price.
